Chloe Shaw is running the Leeds Half Marathon in May 2026 in memory of her mum, Mel Lycett, who died from oesophageal cancer in November 2025.

Mel was a much-loved mum, grandma, friend, and cat mum. Her loss has left a huge gap in the lives of everyone who knew her.

Chloe has already raised over £1,300, with more than 50 donations from people moved by her story. As one supporter wrote: “Think of your wonderful mum and your love for each other when you need to dig deep.”
