My grandfather had struggled with cancer in the latter years of his life and unfortunately pasted away in recent weeks. 

He had cancer in his Oesophagus and had major surgery to cut it away (Along with part of his stomach). The doctors and nurses were incredible. After 7 hours surgery and a few weeks recovery in ICU he was allowed to return home. 

Whilst he was one of the lucky ones this greatly impacted his life. 

However, we are grateful to have had more time with such a lovely man. Dad, grandad and friend to many.
