Sutton Fun Run for Barb

Catch it early and enable more treatment options with hopefully better outcomes

Barb went to the doctor due to difficulty swallowing. None of us could have predicted that the outcome would be a terminal diagnosis, much less that her journey would come to an end 10 months later. Barb never gave up. Not after chemotherapy; radiotherapy; spending her Christmas in the hospital and New Year in intensive care. Her stoicism and determinination was remarkable. Yet, unfortunately, her cancer was too aggressive, and in the end there was nothing anyone could do.

Oesophageal cancer is vicious. Treatment didn’t work for Barb, so it’s essential that research and trials are funded to help ensure more people do not have to endure what Barb did. Please donate to help make this a reality.
